Brave New World
Clara
All eyes on me in the center of the ring
Like a criminal with a smoking gun
Like a boy with a thorn in his side
I'm like a fish out of water
All eyes on me
Like a gun to the head
Like a head on a plate
Like a lamb to the slaughter
But they don't know what I've seen
The coldest winter in twenty-three
Don't know what I've seen
But I don't wanna die
But I don't wanna die
But I don't wanna die
But I don't wanna die
In this brave new world
In this brave new world
In this brave new world

Mystery
Leo Kensington
Verified Artist
Leo Kensington
Leo Kensington, hailing from the sunflower fields of Kansas, has been lighting up local music stages as a pop-funk artist. This sprightly talent is especially known for his catchy tune, "Mystery," which has been described by fans as "a melodious enigma wrapped in quirkiness."
Kensington started his journey nimbly, strumming his makeshift cereal-box guitar while still in diapers (although not particularly in tune). His love for beats and rhythms was nurtured by the swaying wheat fields around his childhood home. Thus, bread was not the only good thing that came out of the humble Kansas wheat fields; they also gave us this ear-popping, funky melody maker.
In the local circuit, Kensington is revered for his dynamic performances which are akin to watching a tornado onstage - wildly exciting, immensely entertaining, yet always leaving you with a sense of awe. Ever the unpredictable, Kensington spiced up a rather bland Tuesday evening when he performed "Mystery" dressed as a unicorn. Yes, an actual unicorn. It was this sort of playful, eccentric ambiance that set Kensington apart.
Leo continues to electrify the local Kansas music scene, his songs resonating from every corner bar to county fair. His energy, stage presence, and charming charisma, accompanied by the unforgettable riff of "Mystery", ensures that one never forgets the name Leo Kensington. His exciting rise and the captivating persona undoubtedly make him one to watch. After all, who can resist a funktastic unicorn from Kansas?

Why does it hurt
To hope? (Mmm ooh ooh ooh)
Why does it hurt?
(Let it out)
To hope? (Ayy ayy)
Why does it hurt
Why does it hurt?
(Ooh ooh ooh)
I love you like the segments
On the news
Cut between the stories of the hood
The heroes
And the glues
Seen and see-through
I could
Read the room
The sky turned red
The stage was vast
The moon took center view
And so did you
Why does it hurt
To hope? (Mmm ooh ooh ooh)
Why does it hurt?
(Let it out)
To hope?
(Ayy ayy)
Why does it hurt?
Why I'm supposed to hope
That things will change?
Keep thinkin' things will settle
As I get older with age
Huh but nothin's never been the same
So in the meantime
Might as well let 'em know my name
And I ain't gon' waste a second
So baby
Show me somethin' that I need for now
I don't mean to use you till I turn around
But maybe you might find you wanna stick
Around
Got so many skeletons inside my closet
That I don't go past October
'Cause if I start lookin' around
Might not come back till the fall is over
Like ooh ooh ooh

Rio Vane
With a name like Rio Vane, you could only expect a backstory as steamy and vibrant as the city itself. He is a self-made, independent dance artist that ignites the music stage with an energy so potent it could power Miami's nightlife for a calendar year.
Vane emerged from modest beginnings, the son of a pizza maker family in the sultry heart of Miami—delivering not only the finest pies but also a flair for Latin dance music since his youth. You could say the rhythm coursed through his veins, or that he sweated salsa beats instead of conventional teenage angst. Either way, his childhood was a simmering paella of musical influences that later shaped his unique sound.
"Calor De Junio (ft Zuri)", one of his most notable tracks, pulsates with rowdy beats and sultry rhythms that would make even the most reluctant wallflower throw some shapes. It's akin to being caught in a storm—clouds thick with his rich vocals, lightning strikes of dance beats, and downpours of sultry Latin rhythms—it's cathartic, climatic, and a hell of a dance workout.
When Vane isn't lighting up the dance scene, you'll find him scribbling beats on pizza boxes or sharing his demos with Hakan E. from Filodyo. It's through these humble endeavours that he landed the opportunity to share his musical creations with Not FM and the world. The magic of Rio Vane lies not just with his infectious sounds but that he is as spicy, whimsical, and intense as the Miami city he hails from. To listen to his music is to lose yourself in the rhythm, embrace the heat, and move with the beat. As they say in Miami, 'dale!'

No Tomorrow Needed
Roxelle
Verified Artist
Roxelle
Roxelle is a Romanian-born singer and songwriter currently based in the United Kingdom. Growing up between Eastern European traditions and Western pop culture, she developed an early fascination with rhythm, melody, and visual storytelling. Her background gave her a distinctive sense of contrast, mixing emotional depth with bold self-expression, something that would later become central to her artistic identity.
After relocating to the UK in her early twenties, Roxelle immersed herself in the underground pop and electronic scenes, refining her sound and performance style. Influenced by modern pop, dance, and subtle R&B textures, she crafts songs that balance confidence with vulnerability. Her vocals move effortlessly between smooth, controlled delivery and striking, attitude-driven hooks, creating a sound that feels both intimate and commanding.
Roxelle’s music explores themes of independence, desire, and emotional resilience, often framed through sleek, contemporary production. Known for her strong visual aesthetic and fashion-forward presence, she approaches music as a complete artistic experience rather than just sound. With a growing catalog of releases, Roxelle positions herself as a new-generation pop artist shaped by movement, migration, and self-definition.
No Tomorrow Needed
Roxelle
Heels hit the floor I feel it start
Bass in my chest steady and sharp
No explanations no excuse
I move the room just how I choose
Eyes follow motion not my name
I don’t repeat I don’t stay same
One step closer to the sound
I don’t wait I turn around
I’m on my own tempo
Don’t tell me when to go
I set it I control
Every move every role
I’m on my own tempo
Too fast too slow I know
I hit it right on time
Watch me cross the line
Disco strings rise
Bass keeps talking
Hands in the air
No words just timing
Mirrors shake when I pass through
Every angle feels brand new
No permission no delay
I decide how long I stay
Heat is building in the crowd
I don’t need to say it loud
Count it in feel it land
Everything is in my hands
I’m on my own tempo
Don’t tell me when to go
I set it I control
Every move every role
I’m on my own tempo
Too fast too slow I know
I hit it right on time
Watch me cro
Jacket on I leave it open
Streetlight glow my focus broken
Every sound pulls me in
I don’t ask where we’ve been
I don’t read the signs twice
I move once that’s my advice
If it feels right I don’t slow down
I let the night spin me around
No tomorrow needed
Say it again I mean it (mean it)
No tomorrow needed
I don’t pause I don’t overthink it (no no)
No tomorrow needed
Feel it hit me feel it beat me (beat me)
No tomorrow needed
If I’m in it I’m in it (yeah)
Every step is calculated
Still it looks so effortless
I don’t wait to be invited
I arrive I don’t impress
Crowd reacts I don’t chase
I just take up space
Hear my name inside the bass
I don’t rush I keep my pace
Yeah
She don’t plan it she appear
Whole room shift when she near
No tomorrow in her mind
Only now perfect time
She don’t promise she decide
Every move amplified
I’m just watching from the side
Tryna keep up with her stride
No delay no rewind
She already crossed the line
When she move place complies
That’s the signal that’s the sign
No tomorrow needed
Say it again I mean it (mean it)
No tomorrow needed
I don’t pause I don’t overthink it (no no)
No tomorrow needed
Feel it hit me feel it beat me (beat me)
No tomorrow needed
If I’m in it I’m in it (yeah)
No tomorrow (no tomorrow)
Needed (needed)
No tomorrow (no tomorrow)
I don’t need it (don’t need it)
No tomorrow (no tomorrow)
Needed (needed)
If I want it (if I want it)
I’m in it (I’m in it)

Call Dropped at 3 AM
Eli Varnish
Verified Artist
Eli Varnish
Eli Varnish spent most of his life drawing straight lines for crooked cities. As an architect, he designed libraries, train stations, and far too many gray, forgettable office buildings. He was always more interested in light than concrete — the way it moved through windows, shifted on floors, or disappeared behind closed doors. But deadlines piled up, and inspiration gave way to invoices. When he retired at 62, he didn’t throw a party. He just handed in his keys, took the long way home, and listened to the silence.
That’s when the music came back.
In his youth, Eli had played piano quietly — always in private, never in public. Now, with no blueprints to chase, he returned to the keys. Slowly. Gently. A few friends joined him — a bassist who used to drive a bus, a trombonist who sold insurance, and a drummer who once taught math. They started meeting weekly above an old bookstore. No gigs, no names. Just music.
Eventually, they found their way into a small jazz bar — dim, warm, and half-forgotten. That’s where Eli plays now. No spotlight, no talk. Just a glass of red wine, a crooked hat, and a piano that creaks in all the right places. The audience doesn’t clap much. They just nod, like they recognize something they forgot they knew.
Eli doesn’t miss architecture. “Buildings are meant to last,” he says, “but songs... songs are meant to leave.” And so he plays — not to impress, but to remember. To trace old lines in the air. To build something no one can own, but everyone can feel.
Call Dropped at 3 AM
Eli Varnish
Alright…
Yeah yeah don’t tune it too much
Let it breathe
Okay… one two…
Woke up late with the room still shaking
Ashtray full of things I didn’t say
Mirror asks me for an explanation
I tell it “man not today”
Shoes by the door still smell like last night
Clock keeps lying I let it talk
City hums in a crooked rhythm
Like it learned that walk from me
Hey bass… keep it walking
Yeah like that
Don’t rush it
Every plan I make shows up half dressed
Every promise comes out second best
If I fall behind the beat again
Just leave some space I’ll land it then
This ain’t a straight line it sways and bends
It trips on truth then calls it a friend
If I sound wrong don’t fix it too soon
That’s where the story sneaks through
Yeah this ain’t clean this ain’t controlled
It’s a loose wire looking for a soul
Play it wrong play it loud play it true
That’s all this blues knows how to do
Hold up…
Let the horn say something
Yeah… go on
(long slide in slightly late)
Mmm… listen
Man… that thing’s complaining
Let him talk
I’m almost done… almost
Sorry… not sorry
(rimshot)
There’s a voice in my head clapping off time
Says “You always push you never wait”
I said “If I slow down I might notice
Everything I try to escape”
Barroom light keeps flickering jokes
Like it knows where I’ve been
Every sound wants a turn at the mic
Even the quiet wants in
Yeah… that’s it
Don’t smooth it out
No no
If this night’s a gamble I roll it bent
Lose my balance call it intent
Break the rule then play it twice
Mess it up till it sounds right
This ain’t a straight line it sways and bends
Falls apart then stands again
If my voice cracks just let it through
That’s what it came here to do
Yeah this ain’t neat this ain’t polite
It’s just breath fighting with the night
Play it wrong play it loud play it true
That’s all this blues knows how to do
Alright…
Don’t stop it
Let it ring
Yeah… that’s enough

Dax Merrill
Imagine the grit and spirit of Seattle's best alternative music, colored with the blues of an often-drizzly city. Enter Dax Merrill, an artist who manages to distill the emotional richness of his surroundings into his melancholic masterpieces.
Dax hails from the birthplace of grunge, drawing upon the city's legacy with his murky, atmospheric guitar riffs and a voice that's gravelly yet beautiful. From his mother's garage, he first strummed out the notes of a self-taught spells. His most notable song, "Memories That Stay", is a haunting testament to his past—a cathartic narration of his journey and a tribute to his resilient spirit.
Dax Merrill is as real as it gets, mates—unapologetically raw, generously insightful, undeniably talented. He's your heart's post-rain fog, the echoing muse on those sleepless nights. Listening to Dax is like tracing the outline of your own emotions, one chord at a time. So grab your headphones and let this Seattle-sound virtuoso take you on a sonorous adventure of an indie kind.
Memories That Stay
Dax Merrill
If it was just about the missing
Then I'd be long gone
'Cause no one else has got me feeling
The way you did all along
But I'm holding on
'Cause in my mind
You're never far gone
Yeah
And I'm holding on
'Cause in my mind
You're never far gone
And it's those little things that make me smile
Yeah
I feel it every time you cross my mind
'Cause it's not about the things we could've been
It's about the memories we made
The memories that stay
You used to hate my bad decisions
And that I made 'em on my own
And all my efforts at forgiveness
I should've shown all along
But I'm holding on
'Cause in my mind
You're never far gone
Yeah
And I'm holding on
'Cause in my mind
You're never far gone
And it's those little things that make me smile
Yeah
I feel it every time you cross my mind
'Cause it's not about the things we could've been

We Built A World
Elias Thoreau
Verified Artist
Elias Thoreau
Elias Thoreau: the lesser known, wonderfully flamboyant cousin of Walden's man himself, who swapped the solitude of nature for the wild shenanigans of the indie music scene. Hailing from a small town in France where his famous relative lived, he's been spinning tales about love, loss, and large vegetable patches since the turn of the millennium in his own alternative style.
There's a certain brooding melancholy about his music that lingers long after the last note has been played – think Joy Division in a neverending existential crisis, only slightly offset by the enchanting sounds of accordion. His flagship hit, "We Built a World," still gives us Feels-a-go-go, as it paints a vivid storytelling frontier, each sad cadence wrapped in lush instrumentation and poignant lyrics about the construction and subsequent demolition of emotional walls.
Guided by a deep-rooted philosophy that in order to truly feel alive you need to swing from the heights of joy and dip into the dark valleys of sorrow, Elias Thoreau’s music truly embodies this. So next time you feel like embarking on a soul-touching flight of emotions, with a sidestep into the vegetable patch, grab a glass of fine wine, crank up the volume, and let Monsieur Thoreau serenade you. After all, who needs Prozac when there's the sweet, sweet melancholy of Elias Thoreau around?
We Built A World
Elias Thoreau
We’re tracing cracks across the floor
Where we danced before the walls wore thin
Time doesn’t heal it just rearranges
And I’m still finding pieces of where we’ve been
You said forever but forever’s a lie
A shadow that lingers when the sun says goodbye
I’m holding on but I’m losing my grip
On the edge of a memory I let it slip
We built a world that couldn’t last
A house of cards in a hurricane’s path
Now I’m sifting through the aftermath
Of a love that burned too bright too fast
(Oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh)
The clock keeps ticking but it feels so slow
Every second’s a weight I can’t let go
I see your face in every crowded room
A ghost of a love that met its doom
You said forever but forever’s a lie
A shadow that lingers when the sun says goodbye
I’m holding on but I’m losing my grip
On the edge of a memory I let it slip
We built a world that couldn’t last
A house of cards in a hurricane’s path
Now I’m sifting through the aftermath
Of a love that burned too bright too fast
(Oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh)
And if I could turn back the hands
Would I choose to love you again?
Or let the silence win
And never begin?
We built a world that couldn’t last
A house of cards in a hurricane’s path
Now I’m sifting through the aftermath
Of a love that burned too bright too fast
(Oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh)
I’m tracing cracks across the floor
But I can’t find us there anymore

From the palace to the party
They call him
Disco Machiavelli
Not a prince
Not a saint
Just trouble in a velvet jacket
He walks in late with a golden cane
White silk shirt and a champagne stain
Everybody knows but nobody tells
He buys bad luck and sells it well
Midnight phone no caller ID
Three black cars on a one-way street
He says “my dear don’t follow the rules”
Then disappears by the swimming pool
He’s got the city on a string
He makes the mirror wanna sing
Too much charm too much heat
Dancing like a scandal in the street
Disco Machiavelli
Oh-oh he’s ready
Heart so heavy
But the beat so steady
Disco Machiavelli
Ciao baby ciao
Everybody wants him
Nobody knows how
Machiavelli
Machiavelli
Nicht so schnell mein Freund
She met him once at the Hotel Noir
Red wine smile and a stolen car
He said “love is politics darling you’ll see”
Then left her name on the balcony
Velvet gloves dangerous plans
Kissing rings on invisible hands
He don’t dance he negotiates
With the DJ and the city gates
He’s got the night under control
Silver shoes and a borrowed soul
Too much style too much speed
Living like the headline of the week
Disco Machiavelli
Oh-oh he’s ready
Heart so heavy
But the beat so steady
Disco Machiavelli
Ciao baby ciao
Everybody wants him
Nobody knows how

Listen carefully
Power is a dance floor
And everybody pays entry
He said it with a smile
Then he vanished in the bassline

Dance with the devil
But dress like heaven

Too much drama
Too much leather

But the beat so steady

Oh-oh he’s ready
Velvet panic
Television confetti
Disco Machiavelli
Ciao baby ciao
He was here for a minute
He’s a legend now
From Vienna to Miami
From the palace to the party
Disco Machiavelli
Ciao baby ciao

Baby, Baby
Lily Green
You're always a second away
We never finish what we start
I think about it every day
I feel it in my broken heart
You do me dirty and then you say
It was an accident
But I've had enough
Oh
Babe
Baby
Baby
I've had enough
I've had enough
Oh
Baby
Baby
I've had enough
I've had enough
I've got the freedom to be alone
I've got my friends
But I never call
You say
"I miss you
" I hear the tone
And I don't feel like I know you at all
It's like a movie or a TV show
We were in love once
But now I can't remember
Babe
Baby
Baby
I've had enough
I've had enough
Oh
Baby
Baby
I've had enough
I've had enough
Oh
Baby
Baby
I've had enough
I've had enough
Oh
Baby
Baby
I've had enough
I've had enough

When the Noise Fades
The Absents
Verified Artist
The Absents
The Absents are a four-piece synth-pop and modern disco-pop band hailing from Brighton, on the south coast of the United Kingdom. The lineup consists of Elliot Kane (vocals), Ryan Whitford (keyboards & production), Callum Price (bass guitar & synth bass), and Jamie Harlow (guitar & backing vocals). The four met in 2018 at a local music festival, where a late-night jam session revealed a shared passion for blending the melodic elegance of 80s synth-pop with the energy and polish of modern pop production.
Deeply influenced by the infectious hooks and emotive energy of Erasure, The Absents quickly began writing together, crafting songs that pair bright synth textures with tight bass grooves and subtle funk undertones. Their early rehearsals took place in a modest studio near Brighton’s seafront, a space that soon became their creative sanctuary and the birthplace of their signature sound.
In 2019, the band released their debut single, which found its way onto local radio playlists and began circulating through London’s club scene. Known for their vivid light shows, charismatic stage presence, and danceable, high-energy sets, The Absents built a reputation as one of the most exciting new acts in the UK’s pop landscape.
Today, The Absents continue to bridge nostalgia and modernity, reaching audiences far beyond the British Isles. Elliot’s commanding yet soulful vocals, Ryan’s shimmering synth arrangements, Callum’s deep, driving grooves, and Jamie’s melodic guitar lines come together to create a live experience that is as unforgettable as it is electrifying.
When the Noise Fades
The Absents
You said it all without a sound
Eyes like rivers underground
No stage no sign no grand display
But still you took my breath away
When the noise fades
I see you clear
No masks remain
No need to steer
In that still shade
You draw me near
Curtains closed the world stands still
No rush no race no sudden thrill
Just quiet steps upon the floor
No less no more I ask for
When the noise fades
I see you clear
No masks remain
No need to steer
In that still shade
You draw me near
I don’t believe in grand goodbyes
Just simple truths behind the eyes
Not every tale begins with fire
Some just flicker then inspire
When the noise fades
I see you clear
No masks remain
No need to steer
In that still shade
You draw me near
